This video covers the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just prior to Thotar offers you a taming Rod for just a Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar will give you a number of 3 taming rods, each differs and lets you tame beasts in the following order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and eventually an Armored Scorpid.

After getting finished the taming Component of the Quest chain, you must head to Orgrimmar and speak to Ormak Grimshot within the Valley of Honor so as to unlock your pet handling capabilities: Tame Beast; Feed Pet; Revive Pet; and Beast Training.

Lastly, do not forget to go to the Pet Trainer and grab the Pet abilities that you More Bonuses have got to give to your companion pet.
